Sharjah, SANA- Syrian National Football Team beat its Maldivian counterpart 4-0 in the match held on Sharjah Football Stadium within the joint qualifiers of 2022 FIFA World Cup of Qatar and 2023 AFC Asian Cup in China.

Three goals were scored by Mahmoud al-Mawas, and one was scored by Ayyaz Othman.

With this result, the Syrian team guaranteed its qualification to 2023 AFC Asian Cup and the decisive round of 2022 FIFA World Cup.
