3 high-level foreign delegations visit NMEC

The National Museum for Egyptian Civilization (NMEC) has received three high-level delegations from Jordan, Gabon and Hungary during the past week.

The Jordanian delegation was led by Amr Al Zyoud, head of the Jordanian parliament’s National Orientation, Information and Culture committee, the Gabonese delegation by the director of the cultural, scientific and arts cooperation department at Gabon’s foreign ministry.

Meanwhile, the Hungarian team was led by Ambassador of Hungary in Cairo Péter Kveck.

A team of curators chaperoned the delegation members during their tours at the museum halls and Ain Al-Sira Lake, introducing them to the exquisite collection of antiquities the museum holds, especially the royal mummies transferred in a majestic procession from the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir Square in downtown Cairo to NMEC in April.
