Syrian- Russian talks to bolster economic cooperation discussed at Expo Dubai 2020

Areas of economic cooperation between Syria and Russia were discussed by Minister of Economy and Foreign Trade, Dr. Muhammad Samer al-Khalil, and Russian Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Aleksei Gruzdev during a meeting held on the sidelines of Expo Dubai 2020 on Friday.

The two sides affirmed the continued bolstering of trade and investment cooperation between the two countries and accelerating the adopted measures between them aimed at facilitating and boosting the cooperation, in addition to the issue of customs exemptions on the Syrian goods.

The meeting also dealt with the continued willingness of Russian companies to invest in Syria, with increasing the rate of exemptions and facilitations in the standing cooperation between the two sides and issuing the new Syrian investment law, which provides an important and stimulating package of benefits and guarantees.
