Egypt condemns Houthis’ attack on King Abdullah Airport in Saudi Arabia

Egypt vehemently condemned the continued Houthi terrorist attacks against Saudi Arabia.

Friday’s attack targeted King Abdullah Airport by two drones, leaving behind a number of Saudis and residents in the kingdom injured in addition to structural damage.

In a statement on Saturday 09/10/2021, the Egyptian Foreign Ministry said Houthis’ targeting of civil facilities and innocent civilians, especially the airports in the southern part of Saudi Arabia, would dangerously escalate the situation and jeopardize Saudi Arabia’s security and stability.

The ministry added that this represents a flagrant violation of the international human rights law and threatens the lives of travelers.

Egypt reiterated its full solidarity with Saudi Arabia in taking all needed measures to confront such coward terrorist attacks, the statement said, stressing that security and stability of the two countries are interconnected.
