Sisi watches documentary on Egypt’s Islamic history

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on Sunday watched a documentary film titled “Unique Reality” displaying the glorious Islamic history of Egypt.

The film highlighted that Egypt has been and will remain the land of preachers since Islam entered Egypt and mosques and Islamic architecture had been built nationwide.

The film reviewed the efforts of Awqaf Ministry in confronting the extremist and terrorist thoughts following the 25th January revolution of 2011 and the intellectual confrontation against the powers of darkness whose ferociousness heightened after the June 30th revolution of 2013.

It also depicted the ministry’s efforts in building, renewing and developing 6,600 mosques nationwide along with opening academies for preachers and sending preaching convoys to various countries in the Arab region and worldwide.

The film also screened parts of Sisi’s speech about the state’s efforts in backing the preachers and imams and providing them with the proper atmosphere to perform their duties in spreading moderate speech about Islam.
