Egypt slams Houthis’ hijacking of UAE-flagged cargo ship

Egypt condemned on Monday the Houthi militia’s hijacking of the UAE-flagged cargo ship Rawabi off the Yemeni city of Hodeidah.

In a statement, the Foreign Ministry said such terror attacks represent a serious threat to maritime navigation in the Red Sea and violate international law.

It called for the immediate release of the ship.
