New Delhi: Indian -Syrian relations based on firm, consolidated foundations

Director of the Department of Asia and North Africa at the Indian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Pradeep Singh,  said that relations between India and Syria are based on firm and consolidated foundations , adding “stances of the two countries  are identical in various fields.”

Singh, ,during a farewell ceremony held by the Indian Foreign Ministry to Syria’s Ambassador to India, Riyad Abbas who ended his mission as an Ambassador of Syrian in New Delhi, said that distinguished ambassadors always “leave bases for consolidated pillars in the host countries.”

Singh expressed satisfaction over fruitful continued cooperation between the two countries, stressing his keenness on the continuous communication between them at all levels.

In turn, Ambassador Abbas hailed New Delhi’s firm stances towards Syria and its support at international forums, saying “ Syria thanks India for the humanitarian aid it provides, whether in medicine, nutrition, scholarships and others.
