Temperatures to drop, partly cloudy skies

Temperatures will drop, yet they will remain from 2 to 4 degrees above average as the country is affected by a superficial low air pressure in all layers of the atmosphere

The Meteorological Department expected in its Monday bulletin that the skies will be clear to partly cloudy in general with a shower chance in the western, northwestern, and the coastal regions.

At night, the weather will be cold and frost is expected over the mountains, while fog is expected in the central, al-Qalamoun and Eastern Ghouta regions.

The wind will be westerly to northwesterly with a low to moderate speed and the sea waves will be low to medium in amplitude.

The expected temperatures in some major Syrian cities will be as follows: Damascus 18/5, Daraa 16/6, Homs 17/7, Lattakia 17/11, Aleppo 14/5 and Deir Ezzor 20/10.
