Syria, WIPO organization sign cooperation agreement to establish a National Intellectual Property Training Centre

Syria and the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) signed a cooperation agreement on the Establishment of a National Intellectual Property (IP Academy).

The agreement, signed by Syria’s Permanent Representative to the UN in Geneva, Ambassador Hussam Eddin Ala, and Deputy Director of the organization, provides support and assistance to the Ministry of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection to establish a national center for training, teaching and education in the field of intellectual property .

The agreement is part of the implementation of the organization’s strategic objectives, including facilitating ways to benefit from intellectual property for development.
