Cairo Governor Khaled Abdel Aal lauded on Saturday 02/07/2022 the historic friendship between the Egyptian and South African peoples.
Meeting with visiting Executive Mayor of Johannesburg Mpho Phalatse, Abdel Aal reviewed Egypt’s efforts to achieve comprehensive development and alleviate the traffic congestion and overpopulation in Cairo by establishing the New Administrative Capital, to which all the ministries will be moved.
The meeting tackled the South African side’s interest in benefitting from Egypt’s pioneering experience in eliminating slums and moving their residents to new cities for free, as well as its experience in establishing smart cities.
