Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry, the President Designate of the upcoming United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP27), discussed on Tuesday 9/8/2022 with Director General of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) Gerd Müller cooperation between Cairo and the UN organization within the framework of COP27.

During their phone conversation, Shoukry lauded the distinguished level of continued cooperation between Egypt and UNIDO on all fronts and within the organization’s various areas of work, including the UNIDO climate change strategy which is being debated with the organization’s member states, Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ahmed Hafez said.

Egypt is set to host and chair COP27 in the Red Sea resort city of Sharm El-Sheikh in November.
