Minister of Interior Mahmoud Tawfiq has sent two cables to Al-Azhar Grand Imam Ahmed el Tayyeb and Minister of Awqaf Mohamed Mokhtar Gomaa to greet them on the Prophet Muhammad’s birthday anniversary, also known as al-Mawlid al-Nabawi.
Tawfiq sent a similar cable to Egypt’s Grand Mufti Shawqi Allam.
In the cables, the minister wished Egypt as well as the Arab and Muslim worlds further progress and prosperity.
