Coca Cola HBC announces expansion plans in Egypt to export to neighboring countries

Coca-Cola Hellenic Bottling Company, strategic bottling partner of the Coca-Cola Company, announced on Thursday 10/11/2022 its expansion plans for exportation from Egypt to neighboring countries, noting that the company will cooperate with the Ministry of Trade and Industry to localize production of display coolers in Egypt instead of importing them in a step that aims at preserving the hard currency.

The announcement was made during a meeting held by Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli with board members of Coca-Cola Hellenic in Sharm El Sheikh in the presence of CEO of Coca Cola HBC Zoran Bogdanovic on the fringe of COP27.

During the meeting, Coca Cola HBC officials said the Egyptian market is a top priority for them in view of their current investments in Egypt, adding that a production line in Sadat City is due to be finalized in the second quarter of 2023.

They also said that the company has also embraced a strategy for training youths on the latest production techniques as well as selling and maintenance in accordance with the international standards.

Meanwhile, Madbouli voiced his appreciation for the company’s sponsoring the conference, noting that he is willing to know more about the company’s expansion plans and pumping more investments to Egypt. He also asserted that the government was committed to supporting the private sector’s investment plans and removing any hardships it could face.

The premier also said he is ready to visit the company’s plant in Sadat City after the start of the production line, welcoming the company’s expansion plans in Egypt.

Also, Minister of Trade and Industry Ahmed Samir reviewed the available investment opportunities in the food industries and packaging sector, asserting that Egypt has vast potentials in this sector.
