Syria’s U-23 football team obtains the third place in West Asia tournament

Riyadh, SANA-Syria’s U-23 football team concluded its participation in West Asia tournament of Saudi Arabia having the 3rd place after beating Omani counterpart by 1-0.

Khaled al-Hijjah scored for Syria at the 50th minute of the match.

The Syrian team earlier lost to Qatar 6-5 in the penalty kicks.

It qualified for the semi-finals after gaining the second place within  Group A.
