Russia awards Haddad Order of Friendship

Moscow, SANA – Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Sergey Lavrov, on Friday awarded the previous Syrian Ambassador to Russia, Riadh Haddad, Order of Friendship.

 

This was during Lavrov’s meeting with Haddad at the Ministry’s building in Moscow.

 

The award was granted after issuing a decree by the Russian President, Vladimir Putin, in appreciation of what the previous Ambassador contributed to in strengthening Syria-Russian ties.

 

Lavrov voiced his county’s gratitude for the great work accomplished by the Syrian deplomatic mission there been led by Haddad between 2011 and 2022, wishing him to further contribute to upgrading the multi-faceted bilateral cooperation.
