Damascus, SANA –Activities of the 152nd session of World Health Organization (WHO) Executive council will kick off in Geneva on Monday with the participation of Syria, and will continue until the 7th of February.

Head of the Syrian delegation, Health Minister, Dr. Hassan al-Ghabbash, said, in a statement to SANA, that the participants in the session will discuss topics related to public health issues at the global level, including the draft global strategy on infection prevention and control, unifying the names of medical devices, classifying them, coding them and strengthening WHO’s response to health emergencies.

Al-Ghabbash pointed out the importance of participation to enhance cooperation with its positive effects on the health situation in Syria, in addition to exchanging health expertise and experiences among the participating countries.
