Baghdad, The Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union announced the results of the meetings of its executive committees, which were officially launched today, Thursday, in the capital, Baghdad.

The Secretary-General of the Union, Fayez Al-Shawabkeh, stated, in a statement to the National Iraqi News Agency, today, Thursday in Baghdad, that “two meetings were held for the member states of the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union today in the capital, Baghdad, and each member states is represented by one member, to discuss some issues.

He added, “The final report will be agreed on tomorrow morning, Friday, before the second session of the special session of the executive committees, which will be held in order to correct the report with what has already been agreed upon, and after its approval, it will be finally presented at the meeting of the heads of parliaments next Saturday in the government palace in Baghdad for approval.”

He went on to say, “The agenda of the meetings of the 34th session of the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union, which includes the ratification of the decisions of the Executive Committee, as well as support for Iraq, is the main title of the conference scheduled to be held next Saturday.”
