Baghdad, The Popular Mobilization Commission announced today Thursday, the launch of a joint security operation in Hatra.
“Today, a joint security force from the army and the 44th Brigade of the Popular Mobilization Forces carried out a security operation in Hatra to raid the hideouts and tunnels of ISIS terrorist remnants,” the Commission said in a statement.
The statement added, “The operation resulted in securing a large area of the desert, and finding hideouts, bicycles and weapons in Wadi al-Tharthar, south of Mosul, pointing to the death of one of the fighters as a result of an explosive device detonating during the operation.”
