Baghdad, The Minister of Environment, Eng. Nizar Amidi, discussed with the Australian Ambassador Paula Ganley to Baghdad aspects of cooperation and joint coordination between the two sides, specifically with regard to the environmental work system.

During his meeting with the Ambassador at the Ministry’s headquarters, Amidi emphasized the depth of the relationship between Iraq and Australia, stressing the need to benefit from expertise in the field of modern technology, which contributes to reducing the effects of climate change, the national adaptation plan, the optimal use of water and agriculture, in addition to renewable energies.

For her part, Ambassador Kanli affirmed her country’s continuation in providing assistance and support in many fields, and her desire to activate memorandums of cooperation between the two countries to serve the interests of the two friendly peoples.
