Manama, The Secretary General of the Higher Education Council (HEC) and Vice Chairperson of its Board of Trustees Dr. Shaikha Rana bint Isa bin Daij Al Khalifa affirmed the importance of teaching investment curricula in universities and stressed its essential role in supporting the national economy and developing entrepreneurship in Bahrain.

She said that the government of Bahrain pays attention to strengthening partnership between the public and private sectors, which contributes to improving the Kingdom’s economic growth.

The HEC General Secretariat, in cooperation with the Angelic Investment Office of Bahrain, and other higher education institutions, organized a workshop to discuss mechanisms of developing academic curricula and integrating investment and entrepreneurship courses in business administration majors for the undergraduate level, in line with the requirements of the labor market .

The World Business Angels Investment Forum (WBAF) Chairman Baybars Altuntas said that most of the successful projects in entrepreneurship are the result of ideas put forward by students studying investment courses in business administration disciplines.

Altuntas pointed out that students are able, through their study of investment courses, to know the plans adopted by investors and negotiate with them to build a clear investment strategy.
