Manama, Shura Council Chairman Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh received a member of the Brazilian Senate and a member of the delegation of the Brazilian Parliament, Iraja Silvestre Filho, who will participate in the 146th General Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), which will be held in Bahrain on March 11-15.

The chairman affirmed keenness to strengthen the relations between Bahrain and Brazil, and push the joint diplomatic and parliamentary work towards more cooperation and coordination.

He praised the cooperation between Bahrain and Brazil, and the support given by the two countries to expand and develop common interests, for the benefit and good of the two countries and their friendly peoples.

Filho expressed his pride in Bahrain’s progress and prosperity , and praised The Kingdom’s hosting of the 146th IPU General Assembly, and the efforts made to prepare for the largest international parliamentary gathering.
