Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi is chairing a delegation that will take part in the third round of the Jordanian-Japanese strategic dialogue on Monday, March 13th, ahead of His Majesty King Abdullah II’s visit to Japan next April.

Safadi will meet with Japanese Prime Minister Kishida Fumio and other Japanese officials to discuss relations and a number of regional and international issues, foremost of which is the Palestinian cause and efforts to resolve the Syrian crisis.

During the visit, Safadi will give a lecture on Jordanian foreign policy at the Middle East Institute of Japan and speak with the Foreign Correspondents’ Club of Japan about Jordanian-Japanese relations, Jordanian foreign policy priorities and the Kingdom’s efforts to resolve regional crises.

In November 2018, Jordan and Japan agreed to hold strategic dialogues between their respective foreign ministers on a regular basis to discuss mechanisms for developing ties and coordinate positions on regional and international issues of common interest.
