Gaza: A winter storm and heavy rain added to the suffering of hundreds of thousands of displaced Gazans on Saturday amid the ongoing Israeli war on the strip.

Downpours swept into tent camps and shelters, particularlt in low-lying areas of Gaza where people sought shelter from Israeli bombing, according to head of the Palestinian Civil Defense in Gaza Mahmoud Basal.

Thousands of families were seen removing wet beddings and belongings from tents under the cold conditions with no heating for children despite warnings of an impending catastrophe as dispossessed civilians were facing starvation and the spread of diseases due to lack of medical care.
