DUBAI: Dr. Mohammed Shukri, Chairman of the Iraqi Kurdistan Board of Investment, stressed the importance of taking advantage of the World Governments Summit (WGS) to discuss ways of joint cooperation with various entities and governments.

He pointed out that the region has nearly 200 investment opportunities in the sectors of tourism, agriculture, infrastructure, manufacturing industries, and mining.

In a statement to the Emirates News Agency (WAM) during his participation in the summit’s activities, Dr. Shukri said that the presence of a high-level government and economic delegation from the Kurdistan region – headed by Masrour Barzani, Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq – to participate in the summit is an ideal opportunity to showcase these opportunities.

He also indicated that the delegation held several bilateral meetings with participating delegations to discuss ways to promote investments, especially Emirati investments.
