SHARJAH: The Chairman of the Sharjah Sports Council, Issa Hilal Al Hazami, highlighted the council’s commitment to strengthening partnerships with international organisations in order to foster the growth and development of young individuals, as well as to enhance the skills and expertise of administrative and technical staff in Sharjah.

During his meeting with a delegation from the Union of Arab National Olympic Committees (UANOC), the Secretary-General of the Union, along with other officials, were present.

At the meeting, the two sides discussed ways to collaborate and received an in-depth update on the council’s work strategy, activities, and events aimed at implementing the visions and directives of H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah.

Issa Al Hazami emphasised the emirate’s unique position, boasting a wide array of sports and specialised clubs. These clubs are equipped with top-notch facilities, guaranteeing excellence in a variety of games and s
ports.

He praised the idea of collaboration across all levels, ensuring the mutual success of both parties in their regional and international sporting endeavours.
