AMMAN: The Jordan Industrial Estates Company (JIEC) has reported a substantial investment volume of JD3.235 billion and is strategizing to expand its investment footprint across the Kingdom. Omar Juwaid, the Director General of JIEC, emphasized the company's commitment to attracting local, Arab, and foreign investments through a series of initiatives and programs. According to Jordan News Agency, Juwaid highlighted that JIEC is offering significant incentives to investors, including reductions in selling and leasing prices, as well as flexible payment plans. The company collaborates with both public and private sectors to facilitate local funding programs, aiding the establishment of industrial projects and the export of products. Juwaid stated that Jordanian expertise in the field of industrial estates is a crucial element in drawing industrial investments, supported by trade agreements with several global economic blocs. JIEC currently manages 10 industrial development estates located in Sahab, Muwaqqar, Irbid, Karak, Aqaba, Tafilah, Salt, Madaba, Jerash, and Zarqa, with plans for additional estates in the future. These estates are home to 937 companies, creating over 60,000 jobs, according to indicators for the first half of this year. Juwaid noted that the Investment Environment Regulation Law, with its incentives and tax and customs privileges, has been instrumental in crafting a conducive business environment in Jordan's industrial estates, thus attracting a diverse range of investments.
