EDGE to Debut Advanced Defense Technologies at Marrakech Air Show 2024

MARRAKECH: EDGE, a prominent player in the advanced technology and defense sector, will make its inaugural appearance at the Marrakech Air Show 2024, scheduled to take place from October 30 to November 2 at the Marrakech Royal Moroccan Air Force Base in Morocco. This participation marks a significant step in EDGE's strategic expansion into the North African aerospace and technology markets. According to Emirates News Agency, EDGE's involvement in the biennial event highlights its commitment to Morocco and reflects its ambition to foster regional growth while enhancing its influence in the rapidly evolving aerospace and defense landscape in North Africa. Throughout the event, EDGE plans to display a comprehensive array of products, including smart weapons, autonomous unmanned aerial systems (UAS), non-lethal solutions, and various calibers of ammunition. EDGE's presence at the show extends beyond static displays, as it will also engage in panel discussions focusing on technological innovations and emerging t rends shaping the defense industry. Hamad Al Marar, Managing Director and CEO of EDGE Group, emphasized the significance of this participation, stating that it represents a major step toward establishing a long-term partnership with Morocco. Al Marar noted the importance of showcasing EDGE's capabilities in addressing operational challenges and promoting economic growth and security in the region. Among the smart weapons to be exhibited are the DESERT STING guided-glide weapons, the THUNDER and RASH precision-guided munitions, and the AL TARIQ range of modular munitions. Additionally, the SKYKNIGHT air defense missile system will be featured. The loitering munitions on display will include the QX-1 and QX-2 quadcopter platforms, alongside the HUNTER 2-S and SHADOW rapid-strike systems. In the autonomous systems domain, EDGE will present the GARMOOSHA unmanned rotary-wing aircraft and the QX-4 and QX-5 fixed-wing hybrid UAS. Also showcased will be the CARACAL line of small arms, including combat pistols, sub machine guns, and precision rifles, as well as non-lethal solutions like hybrid grenades and indirect fire ammunition.
