Amman: Jordan's Ministry of Foreign and Expatriates has issued a strong condemnation of an Israeli attack on a school sheltering displaced persons in the Nuseirat camp, located in the central Gaza Strip. The assault resulted in multiple deaths and injuries, prompting Jordan to characterize the incident as a severe breach of international law and humanitarian principles. According to Jordan News Agency, the ministry described the attack as a heinous crime, adding to what it sees as Israel's ongoing war crimes against the Palestinian people. Ministry spokesperson Ambassador Sufian Qudah highlighted Jordan's consistent rejection and denouncement of Israel's actions against civilians, citing violations of international law, international humanitarian law, and the 1949 Geneva Convention for the Protection of Civilian Persons in Time of War. Qudah criticized Israel for ignoring international calls to cease hostilities and addressed the escalating humanitarian crisis in Gaza. Ambassador Qudah stressed the importan ce of safeguarding civilians and maintaining critical facilities that deliver essential services to Palestinians, along with humanitarian shelters, in compliance with international law. He appealed to the international community, especially the United Nations Security Council, to meet its legal and moral obligations by urging Israel to end its aggressive actions in the Gaza Strip immediately. Qudah further called for accountability for those responsible for crimes against Palestinians and insisted on halting Israel's continuous breaches of international law, humanitarian law, and the decisions issued by the International Court of Justice.
