KOICA Alumni Association of Jordan Holds Annual Meeting to Strengthen Ties with South Korea

Amman: One hundred participants from various ministries and government entities gathered for the Korea International Cooperation Agency's (KOICA) annual conference hosted by the Jordanian KOICA Alumni Association. The event focused on enhancing collaboration between Jordan and South Korea, emphasizing the exchange of knowledge, skills, and experiences. According to Jordan News Agency, Lina Annab, Jordan's Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, highlighted the importance of expanding cooperation with South Korea to develop human resources. Annab commended recent training sessions conducted in partnership with Korea, stressing the need for sustainable initiatives and the establishment of new collaboration channels between the two nations. Minister Annab attributed Jordan's regional prominence to its security, safety, and stability, crediting the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II. She emphasized the Kingdom's competitive advantages and expressed satisfaction with the collaboration, which she believes wi ll enhance Jordan's tourism industry and global competitiveness. Korean Ambassador Kim Pil-woo reiterated the Korean government's commitment to supporting Jordan's social and economic development. He expressed hope that the discussed initiatives would foster further collaboration and strengthen the long-term partnership between Jordan and the Republic of Korea. In the presence of Kim So Young, director of the KOICA office in Jordan, Ambassador Kim noted that mutual respect underpins the bilateral relationship and that shared experiences would help cultivate leaders capable of driving change.
