Sharjah: Sharjah Charity International (SCI), in collaboration with Operation "Chivalrous Knight 3", has launched a campaign aimed at supporting education and aiding Palestinian students in the Gaza Strip. This initiative is a part of the larger humanitarian efforts by the UAE, directed by President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, to provide relief to the Palestinian people and mitigate their hardships.

According to Emirates News Agency, Khamis bin Salem Al Suwaidi, Adviser at the Office of H.H. the Ruler of Sharjah, remarked that the UAE's aid to Palestinians in Gaza is a reflection of a long-standing commitment, initiated by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and perpetuated by current leadership. Al Suwaidi highlighted that education is a fundamental aspect of UAE's humanitarian initiatives, viewed as an investment in both people and future generations.

Al Suwaidi further stated that the campaign's goal is to equip students in Gaza with the necessary educational supplies, enabling them to continue their studies despite challenging humanitarian circumstances.

Abdullah Sultan bin Khadim, Executive Director of SCI, disclosed that the organisation has sent an air shipment containing over 60 tonnes of school and office supplies from Sharjah International Airport to Al Arish in Egypt, which will then be delivered to Gaza. This shipment is designed to provide essential educational and stationery supplies to support the needs of students and bolster educational institutions in the region.
