Istanbul, The Turkish Seismological Center announced this evening that a new earthquake had struck the state of Kayseri, less than two hours after the earthquake that struck that state in central Turkey.

According to the Turkish Earthquake Center, the new earthquake occurred at 8:00 pm today, with a magnitude of 4.0 on the Richter scale, and was concentrated in the Ingsu area in the city of Kayseri, central Turkey, at a depth of 7 kilometers.

The Turkish Earthquake Center did not mention any information about whether there were any loss of life or property.

The state of Kayseri was hit this evening by a 4.4-magnitude earthquake, and the extent of the losses is not yet known.
