The Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS) reported that a paramedic was killed and two others were injured after the occupation forces opened fire directly at them in an area between al-Ahli Arab Hospital and al-Shifa Medical Complex in Gaza City while on their way to evacuate the injured.

The shooting took place as the ambulance crew was heading from the south of the Gaza Strip to Gaza City on a humanitarian mission to evacuate the injured.

The three were transferred to the al-Shifa Medical Complex after being surrounded by the occupation forces for more than an hour.

Local sources confirmed that paramedic Mohammed al-Omari was killed, his colleague Saleh Muammar was injured by live bullets in the chest and another paramedic was hit by bullet fragments in the eye after the occupation forces opened fire directly targeting them in Gaza City.
