SHARJAH: In compliance with the directives of H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, and under the supervision of H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, met this morning, Tuesday, with the local team of the Emergency, Crisis, and Disaster Management in Sharjah, at the office of His Highness the Ruler.
During the meeting, field teams briefed him on the latest results of their efforts to drain rainwater, address various weather-related cases, support affected individuals socially, financially, and health-wise, and ensure their food needs.
He also familiarised himself with the current needs that would expedite the recovery phase and restore normalcy to all citizens and residents of Sharjah’s cities and areas. He then directed the provision of these needs.
He evaluated a report on the circumstances of families and people in s
helters, as well as the services offered to assure their stability and meet all of their needs for working and studying until they could safely return home. He also evaluated the work of different government, commercial, and volunteer teams to meet the basic needs of those stranded in their houses.
