ABU DHABI, 16th October, 2023 (WAM) — The General Administration of Abu Dhabi Customs is showcasing its latest innovative projects in customs operations at the 43rd GITEX Global Exhibition, being held at Dubai World Trade Centre from 16th to 20th October, 2023. Participating in the Abu Dhabi government pavilion, Abu Dhabi Customs is featuring four smart projects that enhance its global leadership in adopting advanced technologies aligned with the Fourth Industrial Revolution, artificial intelligence, and the highest international standards.At this year’s exhibition, Abu Dhabi Customs is launching its newest advanced system powered by blockchain technology to improve customs processes, along with mixed reality glasses for customs operations, which facilitate customs inspectors’ work in confirming trucks’ exit from the customs centre. Abu Dhabi Customs also highlights shoulder cameras for inspectors to enhance transparency and customer satisfaction by addressing operational challenges and documenting proced
ures at border crossings.Additionally, it showcases a customs robot project equipped with AI technology that reads vital signs and provides instant reports to the customs control centre. Furthermore, the robot provides customs services to individuals while measuring customer satisfaction levels.Abu Dhabi Customs’ annual participation in GITEX Technology Week, within the Abu Dhabi Government pavilion, aims to showcase the latest technologies and innovations, exchange best practices in digital transformation, and utilise advanced AI-based technologies to enhance the efficiency of the customs system and ensure community security and economic prosperity.Esraa Esmail/ Amjad Saleh
