Dr. Ahmad Belhoul Al Falasi, Minister of Education, has met with Klaus Iohannis, President of Romania, during his visit to the Greening Education Hub – Legacy from the Land of Zayed at COP28.
The meeting, attended by senior officials from both parties, aimed to explore opportunities for strengthening bilateral cooperation in education between the UAE and Romania.
Discussions also revolved around integrating sustainability and climate education into educational systems, aligning with the UAE’s dedication to establishing partnerships with various countries and entities to ensure a sustainable future for tomorrow’s generations.
Dr. Al Falasi accompanied President Iohannis on a tour of the Hub and emphasised the UAE’s commitment to utilising the Hub as a platform to explore approaches for enhancing the role of education in addressing climate challenges.
This involves increasing awareness and instigating behavioural changes at both individual and societal levels. Dr. Al Falasi also highlighted the Hub’s missi
on to leave a lasting, sustainable legacy that future COPs can leverage and disseminate. The tour also included diverse activities and interactive experiences available at the Hub.
