AKKAR GOVERNOR WELCOMES TURKISH AMBASSADOR

Akkar Governor, Lawyer Imad al-Labaki, on Tuesday welcomed Turkish Ambassador to Lebanon, Ali Barış Ulusoy, who visited him with an accompanying delegation.

Al-Labaki welcomed the Turkish diplomat, thanking his country’s contributions through many developmental projects in several towns in Akkar.

He briefed Ulusoy on the social, health, and economic situation in the region, as well as on the exacerbating needs incurred by the Syrian refugee crisis, especially in light of the dire economic conditions.

For his part, the Turkish ambassador briefed Al-Labaki on Turkey’s cultural, health, and financial aid projects in Lebanon, which are implemented through the office of the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency in Lebanon “TIKA”.
