Syrian President Bashar al-Assad said in a television interview that the United States, at the head of the West, is benefiting from the Palestinian-Israeli conflict and watching on the sidelines the escalating chaos, according to “Russia Today”.

In response to a question about the American role in the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, President al-Assad added in an interview on Russian TV Channel One: ‘When we say America, we mean the entire West, because it is completely under the control of the United States. America benefits from any conflict, then it stands aside and watches the growing chaos, waiting for the moment when it can strike the decisive blow.”

The Syrian President stressed that the Americans benefit from any conflict. According to President al-Assad, American policy is based on the principle of ‘divide and rule.’

He added: “This is their way of controlling, and this is a kind of blackmail. Such behavior is immoral. America turns any conflict into a dangerous chronic disease…Warring countries u
sually pay the price of conflict.”
