Baghdad, The Syrian President, Bashar Al-Assad, received today, Sunday, the delegation of the Arab Parliament Union.
According to the Syrian official News agency SANA: “The delegation of the Arab Parliament Union, which includes a number of heads of Arab parliaments, headed by the President of the Arab Parliament Union, Muhammad al-Halbousi, arrived in the Syrian capital, Damascus ,” indicating that “Syrian President Bashar al-Assad received the delegation at the People’s Palace in the capital.”
It added, “The visit aims to support the Syrian people and stand with them as a result of the ordeal of earthquakes.”
It quoted the Arab parliamentary delegation as affirming that “the Parliamentary Union is supportive of Syria’s return to its Arab ambience.”
