Moscow, SANA- Syrian Ambassador to Russia Dr. Bashar al-Jaafari discussed Tuesday with Director General of the foreign Literature Library in Moscow, Pavel Kuzmin means of enhancing the Syrian- Russian cultural relations.

Touring the library, the Ambassador voiced desire to establish cooperation and coordination between the Russian Library and the al-Assad National Library in Damascus and sign a memorandum of understanding in this regard, based on the cultural partnership that brings together the two friendly countries.

Al-Jaafari referred to the great cultural importance of this library and the great role it played in the cultural life of Russia as a Cultural and enlightenment center in in the fields of literature, arts and foreign languages.

In turn, Kuzmina, noted the library’s contribution to providing thousands of Literary books and references for the Russian students and academics in order to get acquainted with foreign literary books, stressing the desire to expand the Arabic literature section in it through cooperation with the bodies concerned in Syria.
