Kuwait’s Al-Najat Charity Society will launch a campaign during the holy month of Ramadan with the aim of providing iftar meals for one million fasting people in the country and 25 other countries.

In a statement to KUNA on Wednesday, the Society’s Chairman Mohammad Al-Ansari said the association has a plan that includes the implementation of a set of Ramadan projects through which it seeks to perpetuate humanitarian work in Kuwait.

Al-Ansari noted that the plan includes a project aimed at improving the living conditions of thousands of beneficiaries, in addition to distributing monthly and deducted financial assistance to families, Ramadan baskets, and basic households.

The projects will also include campaigns in other countries to perform eye surgeries and dig wells, as well as relief and development projects, helping and sponsoring students, building schools, mosques and shelters for the elderly, he added. (end) slm.aa
