The Algerian Interior Ministry announced Tuesday that most of the wildfires that broke out in the country were put out, putting the percentage at 80 per cent.

According to the Algeria Press Service (APS), the ministry stated that putting out the fires is “ongoing” in 13 different locations over seven states.

It added that local authorities “are assessing” the damage before compensating the afflicted people.
