Baghdad (NINA) – An earthquake measuring 6.1 on the Richter scale shook off the eastern part of Hokkaido Island, in northern Japan, on Saturday.

The National Research Institute of Earth Sciences and Disaster Control said: The earthquake occurred off the Nemuru Peninsula at a depth of 61 km.

It added, “No tsunami warning has been issued.”
