Amman: The Anti-Narcotics Department (AND) has wrapped up 11 cases involving drug dealers across various regions in Jordan in the past few days, resulting in the apprehension of 22 individuals, including two classified as dangerous.

According to the Public Security Department’s (PSD) spokesperson, a significant operation unfolded in Irbid Governorate, leading to the dismantling of a criminal network engaged in promoting narcotic drugs. Six members of the network were arrested, with one individual classified as dangerous. Substantial quantities of narcotic substances were confiscated during the operation.

In another development in Irbid, a raid on an apartment revealed two individuals involved in the illicit manufacturing of crystal meth. Acting on received information, authorities arrested the suspects and seized large quantities of chemicals used in the production of this lethal substance, along with approximately 3.5 kg of crystal meth.

Moving to the Northern Badia, the AND handled four cases, resulting
in the confiscation of 57 palm-sized hashish packs, 6,000 narcotic pills, and the discovery of counterfeit currency.

Officers wrapped up two cases in Amman. The first involved the arrest of a drug dealer, importer, and forger of medical prescriptions and official documents. Authorities seized half a kilogram of crystal meth, 400 forged prescriptions, forged official papers, and forgery equipment from the suspect’s apartment. The second case saw the arrest of three individuals in possession of a quarter kilogram of crystal meth.

In the southern region, a drug dealer was apprehended in Aqaba with 6,000 narcotic pills. Meanwhile, in Ma’an, two drug dealers were arrested, and authorities discovered 5,000 narcotic pills and 3 hashish packs in their possession.

Lastly, in a western Balqa area, a person was arrested for utilizing his residence to cultivate narcotic marijuana seedlings. Substantial quantities of these seedlings, along with a quantity of dried marijuana, were seized from the premises.
