Arab League Council calls for compelling Israel to stop its aggression against Palestinian people, 1st add

Amman: The Arab League warned that the collusion, cooperation, or tolerance of any state or party with the Israeli plans to commit the crime of forcible displacement of the Palestinian people makes it a partner in the crime and responsible for violating international law and the relevant international conventions and agreements.

The Council expressed its appreciation to the countries that have referred the situation in Palestine to the International Criminal Court (ICC) and urged the countries that are keen to do justice to the victims and to ensure that the perpetrator does not go unpunished to submit more referrals to the situation in Palestine to the ICC.

The Arab League Council called on international justice mechanisms to quickly investigate and adjudicate the cases, referrals, procedures, and complaints brought before them on a professional and honest legal basis without any political considerations.

It urged human rights organizations and Arab and international lawyers’ associations and unions to fi
le cases against the perpetrators of Israeli crimes against the Palestinian people in international and national courts.

The Arab League Council also urged countries to place Israeli settlement organizations on their lists of terrorist organizations and to prevent Israeli settlers from entering their territories.

The permanent delegates affirmed that the only way to achieve security, stability, and peace in the region is for the Palestinian people to achieve their freedom and independence by ending the Israeli occupation of the land of the State of Palestine occupied in 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital, and enabling the State of Palestine to exercise full sovereignty over its territory and enabling the Palestinian people to exercise all their legitimate and inalienable rights.

The Council also affirmed its support for all the steps taken by Egypt to address the consequences of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, and to support its efforts to bring in assistance to the Strip in a timely, susta
inable, and adequate manner, and to support the steps taken by Egypt in defense of its national security, which is an essential part of Arab national security.
