_: The Council welcomed the efforts of Algeria as the non-permanent Arab member of the Security Council, including its call for an urgent public session of the Security Council to stop the forced displacement in Gaza and the unanimous mention in the session of the rejection of the policy of forced displacement.

The Council condemned the continued Israeli aggression crimes against the Palestinian people, targeting tens of thousands of civilians, subjecting the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip to a deadly siege that cuts off all sources of life, systematic destruction of residential neighborhoods, hospitals, schools, universities, mosques, churches, and infrastructure, with the intention of making the Gaza Strip a scorched earth that is not suitable for life, under the rhetoric of hatred, racism, and incitement adopted by the Israeli occupation government, these Israeli crimes that constitute in their entirety the crime of genocide against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.

The Council also condemn
ed the escalation of Israeli crimes in the occupied West Bank, including the systematic destruction of Palestinian refugee camps and their infrastructure with the intention of re-evacuation and erasing their cause, as well as daily incursions into dozens of Palestinian cities, villages, and camps, and the terror of Israeli settlers, killing and injuring hundreds of Palestinian citizens, demolishing homes, and arresting thousands of Palestinians in inhumane conditions.

The Council expressed its appreciation for the legal efforts being made by South Africa, including its suing of Israel before the International Court of Justice (ICJ) for failing to fulfill its obligations under the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide, and urged peace-loving countries and those committed to international law to join those legal efforts and initiatives.

It called on Arab ambassadors’ councils and Arab League missions in countries and regional and international organizations to take urgent action
through visits, communications, and letters to convey the contents of this decision and act in accordance with it, and the Council called on the Secretary-General of the Arab League to follow up on the implementation of this decision and submit a report on it to the next session of the Council.
