Cairo, Egypt: The Arab League has issued a condemnation of statements made by Dutch politician Geert Wilders, who recently made controversial remarks about the displacement of Palestinians towards Jordan. The League views these comments as an unwarranted interference in Jordan’s internal affairs.

According to Jordan News Agency, Wilders’ claims are rooted in racist stereotypes and outdated perspectives. The League asserts that these views demonstrate a lack of understanding of the historical context and the established international consensus regarding the Israeli-Palestinian conflict’s resolution through a two-state solution.

Jamal Rushdi, the official spokesperson for the Secretary-General of the Arab League, characterized Wilders’ remarks as aligning with ideologies and misconceptions prevalent among the radical right in Israel. He emphasized that such statements deny the reality of the Palestinian people and their right to a homeland.

Rushdi called on those who value coexistence and humanity to unequivocally condemn these racist positions, stressing the importance of maintaining respect for national sovereignty and international agreements in resolving regional conflicts.
