Arab Writers Union honors Dr. Bashar Ja’afari

Damascus, SANA- In appreciation for his political and struggle positions and enriching the Arab library with intellectual works, political and humanitarian studies, the Arab Writers Union-Syria honored Dr. Bashar Ja’afari Tuesday in Damascus on the occasion of granting honorary membership of the Union and appointing him as Syria’s ambassador to Russia.

“This recognition is an initiative to honor intellectuals , creatives and those of national positions in defending Syria during the war, among whom is Dr. Bashar Ja’afari,” Chairman of the Arab Writers Union ,Dr. Mohammad al-Horani told SANA.

 

“This honor is a tribute to cultural diplomacy in light of developments in international political concepts; diplomacy is no longer a political act but an economic, social , cultural and tourist one,” Dr. Ja’afari said in a statement to journalists, declaring that many countries prefer such diplomacies as we are living through an interdependent world open to technology and media.
