HEBRON: Armed Israeli colonists today brutally assaulted a Palestinian woman, farmers, and livestock herders in Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron.

Jihad Al-Nawajaa, the head of the Susya Village Council, said that a group of armed colonists from the illegal colonies of Givat Yair and Susya sneaked their way into Masafer Yatta area and brutally assaulted and beat up a 50-yaer-old woman, causing her cuts and bruises throughout her body.

The gun-toting colonists also chased after Palestinian herders and farmers while attending to their sheep in the pastures near the said area.

Meanwhile, Israeli forces did nothing to stop the colonists’ attack but rather provided full protection for the colonists.

Colonists violence has long since become part of Palestinians’ daily life under occupation. Israeli security forces enable these actions, which result in Palestinians casualties – injuries and fatalities – as well as damage to land and property.
