The Lebanese Army Command said on Friday that army units deployed in Lebanon’s northern and Bekaa regions have apprehended 28 individuals carrying the Lebanese, Syrian, Palestinian, and Turkish nationalities, and thwarted an attempt to smuggle fuel, gas canisters, and tobacco, into Syrian territories.

The seized items have been handed over to the competent authorities and an investigation has been launched under the supervision of the judiciary, the army’s statement added.
