Damascus, SANA- Prime Minister, Eng. Hussein Arnous, received a cable of condolence from Prime Minister of the national unity government in Libya Abdul Hamid Dbeibeh,who expressed his deepest condolences and sympathy for the victims of the earthquake that struck Syria recently.
“I express our deep sorrow and sympathy for the families of the victims, and the Syrian people, and I pray to God Almighty to give you strength and patience to overcome this ordeal, wishing a speedy recovery for the injured” Dbeibeh said in the cable, affirming Libya’s permanent support for the Syrian people .
Minister Arnous also received a cable of condolence from the Vatican, conveyed by the papacy Embassy in Syria, in which it stated that His Holiness Pope Francis feels great sorrow for the casualties caused by the earthquake, as he recites heartfelt prayers for the souls of the victims.
